In general terms our custom grinder systems are specifically designed for racing yachts of all sizes. From Admiral's cuppers to Maxis, the loadings are enormous and only properly designed equipment will survive and perform consistently. Self-tailing grinders are particularly useful when it comes to convenient sail handling and, as they can be operated single-handed, they are especially valuable on short- handed yachts.
Gear ratios can be tailored to the specific requirements of your yacht - a 50-foot circuit racing boat has different requirements from single-handed racing projects. Cleating grinders prove their worth when it comes to sail trimming under extreme loads. They allow quick and precise trimming adjustments to be made very easily, a great benefit to the racing sailor who can be confident that Meissner winch systems will handle extreme loads under the most adverse conditions.......even if it's -20 C outside!
